A reminder that LV isn't my "home" ... you can find current info at one of the following spots:

Twitter

LinkedIn

Facebook

US Politics

WiredPen

UW Faculty

Wheee! 18 months ... two engine rebuilds (but I remain skeptical/concerned about rebuild #2) ... some gross negligence on the part of DucSea (you should see the stator that they _didn't_ replace when they said my electrical issue was merely that I needed a new battery).

Another $2K.
:-/

But part of that was clutch, chains, sprockets, brake pads ... you know, "consumables" not related to the engine problems.

Unfortunately, there is still "popping" on roll-off after the engine warms but, but it's nothing like it was. Yet. (yes, color me skeptical)

I'm offended that Ducati NA took a hands-off policy to having a dealer do two engine rebuilds with non-certified technicians.

Eventually, I'll be filing a claim with BBB and AG's office ... and still may pursue some legal recourse.

But for now ... I'm learning to ride all over again! Hopefully, I won't kill myself before I get used to a bike that responds IMMEDIATELY to throttle inputs. :)

Kathy

PS. It's also an adjustment in putting left foot down to the ground ... since I've gotten used to the TransAlp ... my left foot goes "bang!" into the ground at a stop on the Ducati, where I have a shorter seat height.

Mike and I slept in yesterday and today. Saturday was "pick up the Duc" day. Today we thought we might catch Episode III at Cinerama at 3.15 ... but the line at 2.15 (when the box office opened) was too much for our patience.

So we went to FolkLife (I've never been!). Listened (and danced) to Zydeco (cool, we watched The Big Easy last night). I bought a red/black cowboy hat (with mesh inset) to wear teaching, since my Outback hat gave up the ghost last month.

We'll see how the LV account works out for personal thoughts. WiredPen deals with technology, About.com with politics (dispassionate).
